DAILY PRACTICES
Guided by experienced teachers Michael and Stela, this pilgrimage goes beyond mere tourism and sightseeing. Each day will include deep yoga practices of asana, pranayama, meditation and mantra designed to align you with the elements and unlock higher consciousness and inner peace.
These practices will help you connect with your deeper self, harmonizing your body, mind, heart and spirit as you journey through these sacred lands.
-
Daily Yoga: Each morning, we will begin with a tailored yoga practice inspired by Krishnamacharya’s lineage, focusing on centering, transformation, and openness to the elements.
-
Elemental Meditations: Throughout the pilgrimage, you’ll experience guided meditations that draw on the power of the elements. These will enhance your receptivity to the temples and landscapes we visit, allowing you to internalize their energy.
-
Personal Reflection: With ample time for self-reflection and journaling, you’ll have the space to process your experiences and insights as they unfold.
-
Group Circles: We expect to have a group size of approximately 12 to 14 people. As a small-group shared experience, we will have time to be in circle, hold space for each other, and support the exploration and holding of our own personal experiences through shared community.

TOUR DETAILS
ARRIVAL: Monday, January 5th, 2026
We will meet up to begin our pilgrimage in the town of Vadavalli, on the morning of Monday January 6th, 2025.
Getting to Vadavalli…
We will send the precise meet-up details (time and location etc), after you have registered. Vadavalli is a town on the outskirts of the city of Coimbatore, which has an international airport, including flights (with an international or domestic stopover, depending on your choice of airline) from Australia. We will assist you with advice for making your own flight bookings from Australia, and ground transport to the meet-up location in Vadavalli.
To help with jetlag, arrival in India, and navigating your way to Vadavalli, we recommend that you arrive in India (Coimbatore or elsewhere) at least a day or two prior to meeting up on the morning of January 6th.
Ground Transport for the Pilgrimage Tour…
After we meet in Vadavalli on January 5th, all ground transport will be provided by private bus and driver for the rest of the tour. This does not include transfers to the meet-up point, nor getting to the airport for your return departure flights.
We will be on the move, though never rushed, most days of the tour. Some places we will be staying overnight for 2 nights, with minimal travel on the road in the bus. The days that we will be on the bus getting from one place to the next, will be for an average of 1½ to 2 hours. Some days will be less, and there is only one day (day 2) that the bus trip will be more, about 5 hours.
DEPARTURE: Saturday, January 17th, 2026
Our programme will conclude in the city of Chennai on Saturday January 17th.
Departures from Chennai…
Depending on which airline you choose to fly with, you may be able to book your return flight from Chennai to Australia. Otherwise, you may need to return to another city or same city as your flight arrival for your return departure flight. Again, we will be happy to assist with advice on details such as flights and airport transfer etc.
